New Biker in the House

Just a week ago, Abby decided she was ready for her training wheels to come off.  About a month ago, I suggested it, but no, she wouldn't have it.

So, we headed outside and Daddy took them off.  She was leaning quite a bit while Daddy held on to the back of the bike.  But she was determined, I could see it in her face.  30 minutes later (a few breaks between there), she was off and biking ALL BY HERSELF!  I was shocked!!! 

She did great and just took off, actually going really fast and scaring me.  Since last Monday, she's been cruising the driveway.  We even went to the new middle school and let her cruise around in the empty parking lot.  She LOVES riding her bike!  

Another big milestone in the books...

Our Cherry Blossom Tree

We are in love with our Cherry Blossom tree......it is GORGEOUS and smells oh so fresh & sweet!  The past couple of weeks it has just popped open.  And it makes for a great climbing tree!   

 

Cousin Time with Sebastian

Last week Sebastian was in NC!  It is amazing to me how much he has grown in 7 months.  When you are 13, the changes are fast.......like his height!!  It was great he had lots of fun times with his Dad that week and we were glad to spend time together too.  Sebastian is a sweet, kind, young man, just like his Daddy!  We love you buddy!!!!

Soccer Time

A couple weeks ago Josh & the girls bought a soccer net & ball.  We thought it would be a fun activity for our family as well as when kids come over.  And it has been!  Max even likes to get right in there......sometimes sitting in the goal.  Silly dog!!!

Memorial 2013

Last night was the Memorial of Jesus Christ death, celebrated that day around the world by over 19 million.  We were able to show our appreciation for what Jesus did by sacrificing his life so we have the opportunity to live forever in a paradise earth.  Our congregation met at a rented facility since we have 5 congregations that meet in our Kingdom Hall.  There were 185 in attendance for our congregation.  It was wonderful to see so many!!  

I snapped a couple pictures of the girls at home (Josh had to get there early to help set-up).  Then we headed off, visited with our friends and enjoyed the event.  Abigail & Sophia did wonderful in passing the bread & wine without any incident.  After, Pops & Grandma had the idea to hit DQ, so that's what we did!

Hickory Dickory Dock

A couple weeks back, some families from our congregation met at Hickory Dickory Dock.  It's a nice place for the kids to run around, drive bumper cars, play laser tag and have fun.  As adults, we can catch up and even enjoy some laser tag too!  It was a fun Friday night together as families.
