May 8th was the final field trip for Abby's class. It was a great one!! We headed into the mountains (an hour away) to
Tweetsie. We had never been there, so it was exciting. Plus they sponsored the
Letterland characters which they children used for phonics learning in K & 1st grade. The kids were flipping since the characters signed autographs too! There were shows as well featuring the characters as well. Abby's favorite character is Peter Puppy.
We were split into smaller groups since it is a large area. Myself and two other mom's stayed together with 6 kids between us. Worked out well! We went on rides, fed animals, had lunch, watched a show and of course, bought a souvenir. It was a hot day and with all the walking, we were exhausted by the end. I was so glad I could attend and experience it with Abby!
