50th Anniversary Beach House - Day 1

Friday, January 17th, we arrived at The Sea Palace in Isle of Palms, Charleston, SC.  The massive 11 bedroom/10.5 bathrooms, 6500 sq feet fit our whole family perfectly.  With the pool table, hot tub, basketball hoop, rooftop deck and more, there was so much to do.  The best part was just being together......all 19 of us!

That first day consisted of getting settled, snacking, spaghetti dinner, concert by Sophia, Kirsten & Susannah, gifts for our girls (thank you!!!!) and for Mom & Dad.

Mom & Dad surprised all of us kids with a presentation they prepared (had a script written out too).  It was a walk down memory lane of their life together.  It brought us kids to tears.  Thus no pictures!  They also gave to each of us a special photo book created with pictures of all us when we were little.  And special momentos of our growing up years - report cards, cute little cards we wrote to Mom & Dad, clothing item from our youth, etc.  It was PRICELESS!!!!  

Thank you Mom & Dad for all your effort creating that for us!!!  Something we will treasure!!!
